Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! And whether you love it or loathe it’s the perfect excuse to get glammed up and play around with fun romantic hairstyles. Whilst this year will be spent indoors, we can still make an effort for that zoom date or going to that fancy restaurant in our living room. Let’s be honest… How often do we wear makeup and do our hair these days?
I know many of my curl friends are busy with mom duties, hustling, or just don’t have the patient to be sitting down for hours in the name of hairstyling.
I don’t blame you girl! Ain’t nobody got time for that! With that being said, here’s a round-up of my Top 3:
Easy Glam natural hair Low ponytail styles with Extensions.
1. Romantic waves
This is one of my fav styles because it’s quick, easy and completely elevates your look! Not to mention the twist-out waves help to create a more feminine romantic look.
How to:
- Start off with your hair damp or wet.
- Part your hair down or side whatever your preference
- Secure your hair into a sleek bun using your favorite gel
- Fix up them baby hairs sis! then wrap with a silk scarf
- Get a jumbo pack of crochet braids. (See below my fav hair to use)
- Secure each individual hair around a hair tie, then unravel the twists to create soft waves.
- Remove headscarf then secure crochet hair on your ponytail and your good to go

2. Bubble ponytail
This is my ultimate go-to style with and without extensions. I find that doing this straight after wash day is easier especially when my hair is dripping wet. I have fine low porosity hair, so it’s very easy to brush my hair into a sleek low ponytail. One of the perks of having finer hair 🙂
Tip: Styling your hair when it’s wet/damped makes it really easy to manipulate. Adding the elastic bands creates a nice bubble effect whilst helping to stretch your hair.

Adding braids to any bun or low ponytail is a great way to add some personality and variety to your look.
You won’t need too many tools, but before you start creating your sleek bun, you should gather:
- 1 fine-, medium-toothed, or rattail comb
- alligator clips and hairbrush
- your styling product of choice, e.g Gel & Edge control
Pro tip: If you’re feeling lazy but you want that glam look, grab yourself a half wig or a ponytail clip extension.
My continued go-to hair of choice over the years is my fav Creta girl wig. You can get it from eBay HERE
